Meal 2: Potato Soup

(This could feed ALOT of people if you adjust the recipe- there are plenty of ingredients)

1 10lb bag potatoes ($1.29)

1 gallon milk ($1.59)

1 bunch celery ($1.19)

1 small bag onions ($1.99)

Total:  $6.06

Meal 4: Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Steamed Broccoli

Meijer Spaghetti ($1.00)

Meijer Spaghetti Sauce ($1.00)

1/2 lb ground Angus ($1.00)

Fresh Broccoli bunch- use 1/2  ($1.00)

Meal 5: Baked Pork Chops with Broccoli and Baked Potato

1 lb Boneless Top Loin Pork Chops ($2.99)

1/2 head of broccoli ***

1 potato per person***

Total: $2.99

Preheat oven to 350.  Season pork chops with whatever seasoning you have on hand. You can even use salt and pepper or BBQ sauce.  Wash,  poke several holes in potatoes, and wrap in foil.  Bake chops in casserole dish for 45 minutes along with potatoes.  10 minutes before chops are done, steam broccoli in 1/2 cup of water until tender.  Serve chops with broccoli, and baked potato with butter and shredded cheese if desired.

*** These prices are added in another meal because the same ingredient is used.

Total for week:  Approximately $22.83 (prices can vary a little by region)

I am $2.17 under budget, so I would add a few staples to my list to have to cook with next week. Possibilities include brown sugar, butter, flour, etc.

Please let me know what you think!
